Why do companies start cooperating with competitors? What is the key element for regional development in European countries? The answers to these questions lie in the concept of the Cluster of printing industry, publishing houses and digital technologies.
On August 11, 2022, the coordinators of the Ukrainian Cluster Alliance with the support of the European Union within the framework of the project “Internalization of the Ukrainian Cluster Alliance: improvement of direct dialogue between European and Ukrainian professional communities during the war” held a strategic session for participants of the Printing Industry, Publishing and Digital Technologies Cluster (M. Dnipro) a detailed analysis, systematization and final approval of the business model for the development of the Cluster was carried out.
Scientific studies and the practice of conducting business in leading European cranes have proven that the cluster strategy is a priority for many countries of the world. Companies that are part of a cluster are more successful and competitive, and export more than those that work separately. And on the scale of the region and the country, clusters are an opportunity to create new jobs. More innovations are generated in clusters, more startups appear there. So, for example, in the north of Italy there is a furniture cluster consisting of 1200 manufacturers. They are all located in one place. This is an illustration of the phenomenon of regional specialization. The companies in the cluster have the same challenges, and helping them improve their competitiveness will help the country’s economy.
Cluster communications integrate the chain not only business-business, but also business-education and the management links of the regional economy. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine fully supports ensuring the full functioning of the public-private partnership mechanism for all spheres of activity and creating conditions for the growth of the volume of involved investments.
In the business model of the development of the Dnipro Cluster of the printing industry, publishing houses and digital technologies, one of the key players in the public-private partnership formula is the institution of professional education – the Interregional Higher Professional School of Printing and Information Technologies. At the moment, the road map for the implementation of the dual form of obtaining professional education in the printing profile has already been fully developed. Dnipropetrovsk needs leaders, innovations and investments to restore the economy. It is for this purpose that the center of innovation costs of the industry is launched on the basis of the school.
